HEALING AND PERSONAL GROWTH
Individual
Psychotherapy
Identity is at the heart of therapy. Healing the soul from the disruptions of life. Reestablishing a sense of balance, belonging, purpose, and acceptance of true self. Overcoming the negative experiences and messages of recent or past messages that prevented your true identity from feeling safe is the work we will do on the healing journey.
Couples
Therapy
Couple therapy is helping to create a unit where each of you can move beyond tolerating to honoring. Triggers, miscommunication, loyalty, and commitment are some of the challenges on the path of having a healthy relationship. The path to reaching the destination can be rocky, and smooth, have it’s high points and low points. The key to longevity is recovery. How can the unit recover from the lows and rocky points are the options we can explore.
Trauma
Therapy
Let’s face it, what’s traumatic for one person, could be a way of normal life for another person. For many, negative life experiences are at a personal level and others can be at a systemic level. Whether it’s conscious or a way in which one has learned to adapt. All can be profoundly impactful on one’s behaviors, moods, self-perception, and overall health. Identified and unidentified, complex or one-time occurrence, healing is required to prevent the worsening of the infectious nature of trauma. Start your emotional, physical, and cognitive healing now.
Children/Adolescent Therapy
Children and adolescents developmentally are on a fast pace of self-discovery as they learn how to navigate multiple systems. Family Systems, peer relationships, education, and social media are a few of the influences and challenges. Balancing independence and dependency can be a tremendous challenge, especially for children/adolescents who have suffered neglect, abuse, or significant loss or who are finding it extraordinarily difficult to “feel safe” and “accepted.” Building an identity without the correct tools and resources, according to research, can contribute to emotional instability. I have worked with children of all ages extensively with a safe and supportive approach collaboratively with their caregivers
